Your Stay

Breakfast, the sitting rooms, what is on site, and the practical things worth knowing before you arrive.

BREAKFAST

Mornings made better

Our Healthy Buffet Breakfast is laid out each morning in the Orangery and the Lobby Bar. Help yourself to cereals, yoghurt and compote, fresh breads, croissants and pains au chocolat, and a spread of jams and preserves. Alongside fruit juices, freshly boiled eggs and hot tea and coffee, choose a platter of fish, meat or cheese, with fresh fruit on the side.

Eat wherever suits — at a table in the Orangery, in the Lobby Bar, or Out on the Terrace when the weather allows. For a slower start, arrange it the night before and the same breakfast comes to your room as a hamper.

THE HOUSE

Make yourself at home

I

THE ORANGERY

A glass-roofed garden room, painted deep sage green, with French doors to the garden opening straight onto the terrace and lawns. Velvet green sofas and crystal chandeliers overhead give it a luxury, easy, relaxed feel.

II

THE BLUE ROOM

A plush, jewel-toned sitting room with deep teal Chesterfield sofas, a rouge marble fireplace, and an electric log burner sets the tone for easy afternoons here.

III

THE GREEN ROOM

Lined floor-to-ceiling with built-in green shelving packed with leather-bound books and an open fire, this room calls for reading or conversation with views out over the garden.

IV

THE PINK ROOM

This room opens up through French doors into the garden and is in the shade of the willow tree that dominates the western end of the garden. It is perfect should you wish to close your eyes for a few minutes.

ON SITE

Everything Else

  • Mini gym
  • Croquet on the lawn
  • Board games in the Green Room
  • Massage — a treatment bed on site and local therapists we trust. Book in advance and we will arrange it.
  • Air conditioning in every room. We would rather you were comfortable than hot — but if you are out for the day, please switch it off.

Wellness, in progress. A hot tub, sauna and cold plunge are designed and sitting with North Norfolk District Council. We would rather not name a date until the permission is in our hands — but it will be the first thing we tell you about when it is. Everything below is here and working now.

GOOD TO KNOW

Arriving & Leaving

  • Check in from 4pm on the day you arrive.
  • Check out by 11am on the day you leave.
  • Your door code is sent before you travel — there is no reception to find.
  • Dogs are welcome throughout the house and grounds.
  • Parking is on site and out of sight. The lane is narrow and the village is small, so please park with us rather than on the road.
  • The hot tub, sauna and cold plunge, once open, are for guests staying the night, for the nights you are staying.
